Outdoor Unit Details
The GoodmanŽ GSX13 uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A and features operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and cooling industry. R-410A is chlorine-free to help prevent damage to the ozone layer. With its 13 SEER rating, the GSX13 will help reduce energy consumption throughout the life of the system.
This unit can give you up to a 14 SEER, when matched with a variable speed furnace or variable speed air handler. A 14 SEER system will save approximately 7% - 8% more than a 13 SEER system.
Indoor Unit Details
This unit features a check flowrater expansion device (Fixed Orifice) and may be installed in a variety of locations. This air handler operates with an air conditioner or heat pump. This air handler is shipped with the correct orifice (Flowrater) for this listed match. Instead of a Flowrater a Thermostatic Expansion (TXV) can be used. A heater coil can be added to this Air Handler to provide winter-time heating capabilities. This accessory is not required for standard operation it provides additional convenience if desired.
