Outdoor Unit Details
The Goodman® SSX16 Air Conditioner uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A, which is chlorine-free to help prevent damage to the ozone layer. This unit features a high-efficiency Copeland® scroll compressor plus energy efficiencies and operating sound levels that are among the best in the heating and cooling industry. The SSX16 is designed for the consumer who desires superior comfort, quiet operation, and environmentally friendly performance.
This unit can give you up to a 16 SEER, when matched with a variable speed furnace or variable speed air handler. A 16 SEER system will save approximately 7% - 8% more than a 15 SEER system.
Indoor Unit Details
This unit features a check flowrater expansion device (Fixed Orifice) and may be installed in a variety of locations. This air handler operates with an air conditioner or heat pump. This air handler is shipped with a Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV). A heater coil can be added to this Air Handler to provide winter-time heating capabilities. This accessory is not required for standard operation it provides additional convenience if desired.
