SHIPPING POLICY

Freight/Shipping cost will be charged for every equipment/product purchase according by state. A freight surcharge may be applied at the time of purchase and will be calculated at checkout. Free shipping ONLY applies within the Continental U.S. (48 contiguous U.S. states), applying to only select equipment/products. Just simply look for the "FREE SHIPPING" image located on any product page, which indicates that the product ships free.

 

Freight shipping applies to residential or business curbside delivery within the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Freight shipping does NOT include inside delivery, under any circumstance. We ONLY process and ship orders Monday through Friday (this does not include: Saturday, Sunday, or any Holidays). All orders are subject to final approval by AC Units Direct. Orders will be processed within 1-3 business days from the original purchase date. Items ordered on weekend's (Saturday or Sunday) will be processed accordingly on the following Monday, NOT on the weekend. Some items may be placed on backorder (anything sold on this website is subject to product avalibility). A few extra days may be required for back ordered items to ship. We do NOT ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We ONLY ship to physical addresses. In order to ensure both buyer and seller protection, AC Units Direct reserves the right to ONLY ship to PayPal Confirmed Addresses. Once your order has been processed and payment has cleared, you should receive your order within 5-7 business days. Please remember that AC Units Direct is located in South Florida and orders will usually ship faster to the East Coast than on West Coast. We do NOT allow local pickups. We deliver the equipment to your location.

 

What to do when your order arrives

Once your order arrives, inspect it very carefully, inspect each and every item on the pallet. Please count the number of items/boxes on the shipment. Before signing for your delivery, make sure your count exactly matches the count printed on the delivery receipt.

Missing, Incorrect or Damaged items that were noted on the delivery receipt, must be reported to us within 24 hours of receiving your order by calling 1-800-823-2508 between 9:00am to 4:30pm eastern time (Monday-Friday), if no one is available to take your call, please leave a message, stating your order number and problem. We will reject any claims for missing, incorrect or damaged items if not reported within the 24 hour period.

Once you've taken count of the pieces on your shipment, remove wrapping or boxes and inspect each item of equipment thoroughly in front of the driver. DO NOT sign the delivery receipt, until you have inspected each item carefully for damages, including: equipment dents and heavy scratches. Please mark the delivery receipt as clear, short, wrap broken or damaged after you have inspected your shipment carefully and thoroughly, (Mark whichever is applicable). If any equipment is damaged, only refuse the items that are damaged , keep and sign for the items that are in good condition and be sure to notate the items that are being refused for damages clearly on the delivery receipt.

Please Note: We do NOT ship out replacement units or do any exchanges due to damaged equipment and/or item(s) that may result upon delivery. All damaged shipments must be reported to the Freight Company and the customer is responsible for filing a claim and resolving the issue with the freight company. Replacement units and exchanges may only be shipped out if the damaged equipment and/or item(s) were refused at the time of delivery.

 

Marking the delivery receipt:
  • If the number of items/boxes noted on the delivery receipt matches what you have received and none of the items are damaged. Then, accept your delivery, sign and Mark The Receipt as Clear

  • You will be responsible for any damages or shortages that you discover after signing your delivery receipt free and clear. (This is why we strictly enforce that you carefully inspect your shipment). If you sign the delivery receipt and then later discover that your equipment has been damaged during transit, the issue is between you and Freight (Shipping) company. You will need to contact the Freight (Shipping) company, report the damages to their claims department, provide them with your shipment tracking information, and file a claim for any damages or shortages.

  • If the items/boxes on the shipment don't match the number listed on the delivery receipt. Mark the Receipt as Short (a packing slip will be attached to the freight shipment for your reference). Note on the delivery receipt which items are missing. Please allow some time for the Freight Carrier to locate the missing items notated as short on the delivery receipt. If the carrier isn't able to locate your missing items, we will ship those items via standard ground shipping to you at no charge, ONLY if the receipt was noted as short and the items that are missing are noted on the delivery receipt.

  • If shrink wrap is torn or has signs of being replaced during transit. Mark the Receipt as Wrap Broken

 

Handling a damaged shipment:
  • If any items (equipment) appear to have any type of damage. Mark the Receipt as Damaged (write which items are damaged and description of damage)

If you have signed your delivery receipt, and/or later discover that your equipment/product is damaged; you, (the customer) is responsible for resolving the issue with the Freight (Shipping) company. You will need to contact the Freight (Shipping) company terminal to report any damages to the claims department, provide them with your shipment's tracking information to file a claim for damages or shortages.

 

 

WARRANTY POLICY > Please Read Carefully

AC Units Direct will back up warranties as to parts which are offered by the manufacturer, ONLY in the event in which you are not able to obtain one in your local area. In the event your product should ever fail, simply contact a local air conditioning & heating professional and they can obtain the replacement part free of charge or, if necessary AC Units Direct will provide the replacement part free of charge, the customer is always responsible for inbound and outbound shipping and handling fees. To validate your warranty claim, a licensed air conditioning & heating contractor must have either installed or inspected your equipment before start-up. The licensed air conditioning & heating contractor must diagnose the failure and identify the specific part(s) that have failed. This diagnosis must be outlined on a service ticket or company letter head from the licensed HVAC contractor and a copy must be submitted with the returned defective part(s). Without a receipt from a licensed air conditioning & heating contractor, AC Units Direct will not process warranty parts or claims for you. Failure to submit such a diagnosis receipt will result in the denial of any warranty claim. If the contractor you hire performs a diagnosis on his own and the contractor claims that a certain part is needed, and it is later found out that the diagnosis was wrong, you will be responsible for the cost of the part (it will not be covered under the warranty). Whenever returning any defective part(s), please fill out our: Warranty Replacement Part Form. Inbound and outbound shipping to AC Units Direct of the defective part(s) will always be the responsibility of the customer. All warranty claims are handled electronically, not by phone.

 

Warranty Replacement Options:

    Standard Warranty Replacement

  • We will ship your warranty replacement part to you, after we have received your defective part. For standard warranty replacement, we do not require a deposit.

 

Labor warranties are not provided on any of the products we sell. All products sold on our website (acunitsdirect.com) are intended by the manufacturers to be installed by professional air conditioning & heating contractors. The installer is responsible for labor warranty. All products sold on our website are available to you as a means of saving a substantial amount of money. However, we do make them available to do-it-yourself individuals that are mechanically inclined and able to install them on their own. Please understand that your decision to purchase from us or install on your own, is subject to your own risk. We understand that having a professional certified contractor install the product for you is more costly, but in fact a great advantage towards the validation of your warranty with the manufacturer. Please be aware that most manufacturers of these air conditioning & heating equipment products sold directly to you on our website have no provision to provide any warranty replacement part(s) and/or technical support to you directly, since they only work through dealers such as your local air conditioning & heating contractor. If you choose to install the product(s) yourself, please be aware of any dangers or hazards that you may encounter, follow all safety precautions. Remember, if you choose to install yourself, you are at your own risk.

 

If any product purchased from AC Units Direct should result in failure upon installation or not operate after installation, we are only responsible for supplying the parts warranted by the manufacturer, only in the event in which your local heating and air conditioning contractor is not able to obtain one in your local area. Under no circumstances will neither refrigerant R22 or R410A be covered or reimbursed if refrigerant needs to be re-added to the system, whether it is missing from the unit when it arrives to customers location or after a part is replaced. Under no circumstances will we replace a whole system or component since these are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. AC Units Direct does not provide Labor warranty, Labor reimbursement or Compensation of any kind for any costs incurred by the consumer due to a malfunction of any products or any part(s) for any products sold on our site whether it is the original installation occurring and/or a part has failed after a system has been functioning for any said period of time. Under no circumstances will AC Units Direct replace a whole system or component.

 

 

RETURN POLICY

You may only return brand new, unused, original condition, uninstalled merchandise in it's original box with all manufacturer documentation and in resalable condition by requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) within 30 days of your order's ship date. All returns are subject to a minimum of a 25% restocking fee, depending on the manufacturer, plus all shipping charges. It is the customerís responsibility to pay for and ship the item back to us (inbound & outbound). Some items are non-returnable and non-refundable (electrical parts/hvac parts). Shipping charges are non-refundable. Returns are completely at our discretion. If you are unsure of what the return policy is for a certain product, please contact us before making your purchase. No returns will be accepted without a RMA Authorization, issued by either ACUnitsDirect.com or our vendor that shipped your goods.

Please remember RMA's expire exactly after 30 days of their issue. All return orders must be received by AC Units Direct prior to the expiration of the RMA. All original shipping charges are non-refundable. Scratch and Dent items sold on our website are cannot be returned (all sales are final for scratch & dent items and special orders). All items returned back must be well packaged, we recommend you insure your return and retain proof of tracking with your carrier. Please use a traceable carrier which can provide tracking services and as well, proof of delivery. If a product is damaged on the return, it will be refused by our warehouse, and you the shipper is responsible for filing a shipping claim with the carrier. If the product is lost during transit, you, the shipper is responsible for filing a shipping claim with the carrier.

CANCELLATIONS

You may cancel your order, by giving us a call at 1-800-823-2508 between 9:00am - 4:30pm Eastern Time on date of purchase (Monday-Friday). All order cancellations may be processed as long as the order has not been transmitted out of our warehouse for shipment. In most cases, orders are usually transmitted out of our warehouse within several hours of your purchase. If no one is available at the time you call to answer your phone call, please leave a voice message stating you wish to cancel your order and say your order number, otherwise we are in no way responsible for not processing your cancellation request on time. AC Units Direct reserves the right to cancel any order at anytime if it cannot be fulfilled.

The equipment we sell on our website IS NOT intended to be installed by anyone without the proper expertise, certification, and background. Given the limited circumstances under which our advice is administered, AC Units Direct cannot be held liable for any suggestions that it may provide concerning system sizing or selection. The consumer will be responsible for their decision.

 

 

EPA REGULATIONS

Purchaser hereby acknowledges that federal law prohibits opening the refrigeration lines of any equipment purchase. A properly licensed individual must handle the refrigerant in any unit/system. Purchaser hereby assumes full responsibility for the safe and proper installation in accordance with applicable local code requirements.

 

 

LOCAL BUILDING CODES

Seller makes no warranty that goods delivered hereunder comply with any local building code(s). In all cases, it shall be the customer's duty and right to determine whether goods are approved under local building codes for the state.

 

 

ERRORS ON OUR SITE

Prices and availability of products and/or services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected when discovered, whether it may be typographical or other, etc. AC Units Direct reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, AC Units Direct will issue credit to your credit card or PayPal account in the amount of the total charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount will be credited to your account. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with AC Units Direct return policy.

 

 

PRODUCT DISPLAY/COLORS

The AC Units Direct website attempts to display all product images shown on the site as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that the color or image displayed exactly matches the product you are purchasing. The display of the color depends, in part, upon the monitor you are using.

 

 

SALES TAX POLICY

Because AC Units Direct does business throughout the United States and collects and remits sales tax as required by law, the AC Units Direct website also collects and remits sales tax as appropriate. AC Units Direct only charges sales tax to purchasers living in the State of Florida. Please understand that AC Units Direct reserves the right not to sell to resellers.

You are personally liable for any orders that you place or charges that you incur prior to termination. PRICING POLICY

Online prices and offers/promotions are subject to change without notice. We do not offer post-order price matching when an item's price drops after you buy it. Our prices regularly change, and the price you paid when you placed your order was the lowest price we were able to offer at the time. We consistently offer competitive prices on everything we carry because we know low prices are very important to our customers.
